This repair / conversation kit is meant to update the older version of our chucks that had a copper cap at the top. This kit comes with 2 x 3d printed plugs, 2 x set screws, Technora, a drill guide, and an allen wrench.
Directions
1. Drill out the old rivets holding the copper cap in place with a 1/8" drill bit
2. Using the supplied drill placement guide, you will need to drill a hole all the way through the top of the chucks with 5/32 drill bit and then tap the hole with a 10-24 tap.
3. Follow the directions in this video on how to put the new rope and set screw in.
If the set you have is CF, when you take off the copper cap, you need to carefully examine the top of the CF to see if it is going to be able to handle more holes being drilled in to that area. To many holes can compromise the CF's integrity and cause it to fail.
