Torch poi allow for a fusion of club manipulation, poi, and often fire breathing arts.

Body

These torches are ~18" long and are made from 3/4” diameter 7075-T6 aluminum. This size fits comfortably in the smallest or largest of hands. It has a tacky, heat-resistant rubber foam grip.

Wicks

These torch poi have 3" wicks, creating large flames that will last approximately 4:00 minutes*.

Exposed Metal

Most severe equipment burns come from searing-hot exposed metal, not from the wicks. To minimize exposed metal, the wicks on these torches are attached with three recessed screws.

The torch ends are also covered with two wick layers, creating a long-lasting cover for a potentially sharp and hot metal edge. In addition, the aluminum between the grip and wicks is covered with a colored silicone wrap (you chose the color) that diffuses heat and allows you to safely touch the torch within inches of burning wicks.

Leashes

These use a stiffened 3/16 Techona leash that is approximately 6" long with a swivel attached on the handle end for the leash.

Handles

There are three main choices for handles: double fingerloop, single fingerloop, and pom handles intended for tosses and other grip variations. All handles come with a swivel.

Double Fingerloop Handles have loops typically used on the index and middle fingers. These cotton loops provide a solid, constant connection between you and your poi chains.

Single Loop Handles have a single large cotton loop that partially inverts to tighten on two fingers more snuggly than double fingerloop handles can.

Lanternsmith PomGrips are made from a grippy, high-temp rubber. They are weighted and shaped for tosses, and have holes through the middle to connect to leashes or swivels.
